I’m linking up with Bex’s Time to to Be Thankful linky party @ readingandwritingredhead.blogspot.com. I find these lists so difficult! Not that I don’t have much to be thankful for – the opposite is true. It’s just difficult to come up with only 10 and ones that you want to share with others. I do have much to be thankful for! I think it is even easier to look back and realize the “what might have been” scenarios and see how good it is. My 2 boys were both “miracle” babies who had medical issues and were in the NICU. I’m so thankful for their amazing health! My parents visited a few weeks ago and took the boys out bowling and they said a driver went right into their lane and was coming at them head first. At the last minute he swerved and they were able to avoid an accident. My mom said she was shaking. It was dark and they couldn’t see what caused the driver to do this, but she suspected texting. She said the other driver must have been shaken also since he/she pulled over to the side of the road and stopped their car. Scary! I’m thankful for each day. It truly is a gift. TTH – Grandparents Day
, a set on Flickr (Click on the Flickr link to see larger images — clicking on the picture will give you a link to pin to pinterest)
We used to celebrate Grandparent’s Day in the spring and this year changed it to the Friday before Veterans Day. It was a joint Veterans Day/Grandparents Day celebration. I’ll post more about the Veterans Day activities next time.
One of the activities we did for the grandparents display was this adorable craftivity I found at TPT. It is based on the book “How to Babysit a Grandpa.” They did a good job with writing their stories. They really learned a lot about story sequencing and transition words. And the grandparents turned out ADORABLE! One of the hair patterns for the grandpa has 2 tufts of hair – one over each ear. One of my little cuties said he just needed one tuft for his grandpa and it went right on the top of his head. It actually did look a little bit like his grandpa! 🙂 Too cute!
The November Facebook Frenzy is here! This is the place to be if you like freebies!
I’m in the 1st grade group. The picture above will link you to my Facebook page. I’ve made my Pilgrim Path game free this weekend just for my Facebook followers.
After you get that freebie, you can click on the haystack to go to the next stop.
There are 6 separate blogs hops involved in this frenzy! Here is the Frenzy map so that you can visit the other grade level hops. It’s also helpful if you get “stuck” somewhere along the hop and can’t go to the next stop.
Have fun & have a fabulous weekend!
